Engine Upgrade
Capable of new levels of power and effectiveness, the RAM 1500 eTorque engine upgrade is available on both the 3.6L Pentastar® V6 and 5.7L HEMI® V8. The addition provides a connected supplemental electric motor for efficiency and power boosting with the following characteristics:
An additional 90 lb-ft. of torque output to the 3.6L Pentastar V6; 130 lb-ft of more torque output to the 5.7L HEMI V8.
Ultimate efficiency with a Multi-Displacement System (MDS)/Fuel Saver Technology for the V8; allows operation in 4-cylinder mode for extended periods of time.
Self-charging, high-voltage battery which is charged during traditional driving operation.
Seamless Start/Stop engine operation for stopping and engaging when the brake is released for optimal fuel efficiency and emission reduction.

Hybrid Powertrain
The RAM 1500 eTorque hybrid powertrain connects all of the mechanisms that promote performance, power, and agility within your truck. Combining components to facilitate fuel, batteries, the engine, and the electric motor, energy is pushed forward through the transmission. This cohesiveness is created through a parallel hybrid powertrain, where the internal combustion pairs with the electric motor to power your vehicle.
