A New Jeep Name Arrives
Jeep may be a brand that dates back to World War II and gives us models that can be fun on and off the roads that you find to use. Although this brand is filled with models that can be fun in the wilderness, you’ll find the Jeep team is embracing the future of driving with new hybrid models. The Jeep hybrids were introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show and wear a new badge to give you a name that you can enjoy. These new Jeep hybrids will wear a 4xe badge and will be offered at South Oak JDCR in the future.
What Models Will Wear the New Badge
The various Jeep models that have the mild-hybrid assist system with the new eTorque system along with the new fully hybridized models will wear this new badge. The Jeep Compass and Renegade plug-in hybrid models will be part of the mix to give you the new models that have the 4xe badge that you’ll know means you have a vehicle that can give you the ride you want and offer the fuel savings that makes a lot of sense for you on the road after you see the models at South Oak JDCR.
Three Jeeps with Hybrid Power
Three of the names you’ll find with the 4xe badge on them will be the Jeep Wrangler, Compass, and Renegade. The smaller models will have the 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor. Because these models are going to be plug-in versions, you’ll have 31 miles of electric power when you take a drive and the maximum horsepower that reaches 240 to give you the power needed for the drive. We don’t have any information regarding the power numbers of the new Wrangler plug-in yet, but these numbers will soon be available at South Oak JDCR.
A Potential Powertrain for the Wrangler Hybrid
Because Jeep is part of the FCA family of brands, you could see a powertrain that we already know and admire used for the Wrangler Plug-In hybrid. This powertrain could be the same one that’s offered in the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid to make sure you can have the drive and the quality feeling you want when you take this SUV out for a drive. The Pacifica Hybrid gives you 260 horsepower and 33 miles of all-electric driving, which could be what’s needed for the Wrangler.
More Information Coming Soon
Jeep will offer us full details of all three models at a later date and give us a look at them later this year at the Geneva show in March. The rest of the information regarding the Jeep plug-in hybrid models will be offered to us in April at the New York and Beijing shows. After this, we can only wait to see when thee models make their way to South Oak JDCR to be the right hybrid Jeep vehicles for you to enjoy.
