Matteson Historical Museum

As part of the Matteson Historical Society, this institution houses a collection of documents, photos, and objects related to the history and culture of the area. Visitors can view old clothing, uniforms, vehicles, and more, all while learning about local heritage.

Rail Fan Park

As one of the country’s largest rail intersections, Rail Fan Park is a great spot for train enthusiasts to gather and enjoy railroad history. A 35-ft high platform allows guests to watch all the incoming and outgoing trains, with a 1953 caboose on display at the bottom. With over 30 trains passing through this intersection daily, it’s a great attraction for train lovers everywhere.

Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park

Known as one of the top ten sculpture parks in the world, Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park boasts nearly 30 large-scale works of art located on 100 acres of prairie in Will County. This free outdoor museum features sculptors from Chicago, France, and Mexico, and allows guests to see a variety of styles in a beautiful setting.
